Big City Plumbing bailed us out twice. The first time Benny and Gavin came over to fix our heating system in the middle of a cold spell. They diagnosed the problem, which was basically that the pipes were too narrow and needed more throughput. They replaced the pipes with wider ones. They recalibrated the machine. They got the work done quickly and efficiently while explaining clearly what the problem and solution were. The second time Benny came over after our pipes froze and we weren't getting any water into the system. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it and made sure all zones got heat. The pipes were unfrozen but water wasn't flowing through the system. We had been without heat for over a week. Big mistake on our part for not calling them sooner. The professionalism and honesty of the technicians and staff at Big City Plumbing are the best I've encountered. I highly recommend them for anyone who has heating problems.

I reached out to Big City Plumbing for an urgent repair on my Navien Combi unit, which had stopped supplying heat. To my relief, they were able to send over a plumber without any delay. Benny arrived and wasted no time in getting to the root of the problem. He was not only swift in diagnosing the issue but also took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand.I'm truly grateful for Benny's expertise and the prompt, courteous service provided by Big City Plumbing.

"Impeccable workmanship"

Mike did a conversion from fuel oil to gas 10 years ago. Removed all old sooty oily furnace and piping after covering all carpets and walls, job done perfectly and clean. Saved thousands in heating first year plus Diane did all rebate paperwork for over $7000 back, she's a gem. System works like a charm with no maintenance since.

I would like to recommend Big City Plumbing for anyone who is considering converting from Oil to Gas. When dealing with getting my oil conversion done, I was referred by National Grid to Big City Plumbing. My first encounter was with Diane from the office, she was friendly, promptand professional, all the time. She scheduled my appointments and assisted the entire way with the application, permits, and rebates. Diane is the bright star behind the scenes. I then met with Mike the Owner, who personally came to my house and all my neighbors on a Saturday!!! Mike was patient and professional, answering all my questions putting me at ease. Finally, I met with the technicians Benny and Shane. Both of these guys were excellent!!! They stopped to listen to me, and answered any questions I had, along the way. The entire job took 1.5 days and Mike checked in during the process. I would recommend Big City Plumbing and the entire team as they understand what customer service is really about. This is the best money I've spent on my house, I cannot say how much am happy and satisfied with the install and look from start to finish. The before and after picture say it all. "Finally a honest company!"

My Navian Heat Exchanger was about to breach. I had many companies in who wanted to sell me a new heating system. My system was only 7 years old, and could not believe I needed a new system so soon. As it turns out, Navien warranties the heat exchanger for 10 years. I called them, and they send me a new Heat Exchanger free of charge. So, all the companies who wanted to sell me a new system would not come and install my new part, and one who said he would was looking to charge me so much money and would not guarantee his work! I'll called Big City and spoke with Saint Mike, who not only gave me a great price, but scheduled me the very next week. I felt so confident in Big City and his installer Benny who did the job in an hour. He and Shane were meticulous and professional. I recommended Big City to all my neighbors. So glad I found them. Also, Diane is a real sweetheart. So nice dealing with such a great company!

I am extremely happy I chose Big City Plumbing to do the oil to gas conversion in my home. I had decided to go with another plumbing company but they could not proceed with the conversion due to health issues. I am so glad the conversion didn’t work out with the other company and instead Diane, Benny, and Shane did the work for my house. I could not have asked for a better team. They knew exactly what to do in such an efficient and knowledgeable manner. Not only are they competent and good people, they give very good quality work. You will have to pay much more from another plumbing company what they provide as standards for themselves. I got what I paid for 😊👍👍👍

"Saint Mike"

Once again, Mike of Big City Plumbing came to my rescue. I called Big City Plumbing after 3:00 PM on Tuesday when my tankless water heater suddenly died and I had no hot water. Diane was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about my situation. She immediately connected me with Mike, who made arrangements right away for the crew to come out the very next day. Benny handled the installation of the new tankless water heater and took the time to explain what he was doing every step of the way, asking if I had any questions. He is extremely professional, has a great sense of humor, and without a doubt is a master plumber. Benny truly knows his craft and does an outstanding job. Later that evening, Mike personally called to make sure I was happy with the work. That level of follow-up and care speaks volumes. Big City Plumbing is truly the best in the business. Thank you, Saint Mike. You are a kind-hearted man, and I appreciate you and your entire team more than you could ever know.

"Great Service!"

My old school boiler/hot water heater combination unit finally gave out. I was scrambling trying to find a reputable company to replace my old unit because I was left with no hot water for a week. I had a few plumbers come by and most of them were recommending units that were old technology and would cost me about the same as a new combi unit. I believe it wasn't by chance that I went out of my way to get gas at the Lake Grove QuickCheck when I saw the Big City Plumbing's store front and their van showing they are certified Navien installers. I finished pumping gas and walked in right off the street. Diane the office manager was very nice as I was explaining my situation. Michael came out from the back and we started to talk about the Navien system which he had running his shop. This was late Thursday afternoon. He came to my house just a few hours later and his crew was at my house the next morning installing the unit. We now have hot water and heat and also have additional space in my boiler room. I cant say enough about how accommodating and professional Michael and his staff were. I was also very impressed with how clean and thorough the crew was. I highly recommend you give Big Pluming a call!

"Tankless heater"

I called BigCity Plumbing after a "so called " plumber installed my tankless water heater wrong. Diane was kind ,caring and understanding of my situation.She is absolutely amazing. I later spoke with Mike who is a absolute angel in my books. He quoted a price , Benny and Ed showed up even before the time I expected them . I explained what happened with the other so called plumber ,they not only listened but they actually cared about the whole situation.Benny was very efficient and knowledgeable about what had to be done. Benny explained everything to me what they had to do to insure the boiler was installed and worked properly and more importantly would be safe.They installed the boiler the correct way and made sure it was running properly checking the hot water and heat. Benny showed me Everything they had done . I was very very pleased with the outcome.They cleaned up before they left, the space actually looked better and cleaner then before they started. I truly cannot thank Benny and Ed enough for turning a mess into a masterpiece. After the job was done I spoke to Mike he asked if I was happy ,well he had no idea just how happy I was. He helped me out in this rough situation and I will never forget his kindness or the kindness of Benny and Ed. I will be forever grateful.

"Above and Beyond"

It's Sunday afternoon, Mother's Day, and my house had no heat. Boiler was in a "stand by" mode. I called Mike, the owner of Big City plumbing. Minutes later Mike returned my call. He asked me a few questions and from my answers he KNEW what it was! Workers at my house accidentally cut the two thermostat wires while doing the kitchen renovation. He knew I was handy and was capable of splicing the wires back together and in minutes, I had heat, all was back to normal! Amazing man, excellent polite, professional crew, that worked clean! Thank you Mike!

"Professional Service!"

We contacted Big City Plumbing to convert our oil boiler into a tankless gas boiler and foam the oil tank. Mike provided a reasonable quotation for the estimated cost for the service and Diane could always provide prompt answers to our questions/concerns. Considering the good reviews on line, we signed the contract with them. It proved that we made the right decision. Benny and his team carried out the boiler installation project. Benny is very professional, polite and efficient. They arrived at 8:00 a.m. and started to work immediately. In 2 hours, they removed the old boiler and by 3:00 p.m., they new boiler was installed. They also cleaned the laundry room after the project was finished. The installed gas boiler looks really awesome. We are very satisfied with their service and we strongly recommend Benny, Mike, and Diane to all!

Big City Plumbing gets 5 stars from us. From the first quote Mike gave to the day we fired up our new Navien 240, our oil to gas conversion was a hassle free process . They were fast, responsive to calls (even now almost a year later), super clean with both their removal and installation work, and all at a great price. Especially when the $600.00 rebate check arrived a few weeks later that Diane had filed for us! And for those curious I paid 40% less in costs in the year after I went to gas. Plus no smell and a laundry room that has doubled in size. Highly recommend the conversion it pays for itself in 5 years.

I called to have my hot water heater replaced and they gave the best price. The woman on the phone was courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. She made a quick appointment to help me out. Benny and Lou showed up on time and ready to work. They were professional, efficient and worked clean. They finished in an hour and a half. They did an amazing job. The bill was exactly what they said it would be. I cannot give a higher recommendation.

Several years ago I hired Big City Plumbing to complete an oil to gas conversion. They did a fabulous job. Since then, I have had other issues arise, not related to the boiler and needed a plumber. We called Big City Plumbing to have a tankless water heater installed after our existing tank broke down. "I can't say enough."

The job involved a complete gutting of my master Bathroom. From walls to ceiling, to floor ! With the addition of a whirlpool one wall had to be moved. None of the existing plumbing remained in its original place. Marble from floor to ceiling, new lighting, a separate shower-on top of it all the original contractor that i'd hired cancels on me at the last minute!!! Noticing an ad in a local paper claiming that an actual plumber would call back within the hour i took a chance. Lo and behold-a plumber actually calls. Showing up on time and clean was indeed a surprise! What really impressed me was how professionals and courteous he was and i hired him on the spot. The real surprise was the quality of work! "Would use them again."

I had to have my hot water heater replaced. I thought the estimate was too high, but after speaking with Mr. Polidoro I realized he was giving me the best equipment money can buy. I had the choice of going with something cheaper, but I did not want any problems down the road. He was very professional and honest explaining everything to me in detail. I would recommend Big City Plumbing, and would use them again if I have to.
